How Cold Is Too Cold To Golf
How cold is besides common cold to play golf?
I just read through the "Holiday Skins Game" thread and the statement was made that 62 degrees was also cold to play golf.
So what is your limit? Where is your line?
For me, I'd play in depression 40s if at that place was no wind. You take it above v-10 mph though and I'm gonna need high 50s at a minimum just would prefer a 6 handle or higher.
62 is damn about perfect
I'grand usually staying home if it's in the 40s.
The answer varies depending on wind, rain, and sun, as well equally walking or riding. I'll play (walk) all the way down to the low 30s as long as the air current is mostly calm and it's dry.
If information technology's warm enough for the grade to be open, I'll play.

Same hither. I don't heed the cold so much but I am not a fan of super windy days or mud.
Just like a lot of outdoor activities I can take two of three and be ok
Wind
rain
Cold
Just all three ?? What can I stream ??
I made this thread a yr-ish ago
My conclusion is that I will suffer way more cold than most golfers here. Hahah
Information technology was 51 with off and on rain today and I was pretty comfortable with merely a hoodie and rain coat.
Most of our winter rounds out here start in the upper 30s /low 40s. Null hand warmers and a cart heater (if riding) and it isn't too terrible.
Sun out, no wind? I'll play 39.
Wet and windy? Won't play in 60.
Im littoral, then I hate to "layer up" to play golf. Layering up and golf game do non go together.
50'due south calm, dry and sunny is ok. Mix in wind and/or rain and it goes downhill fast.
I'll play in whatsoever with the right people or on the right course
Played in 50+ mph winds and hail earlier this year...had a blast. We were laughing so hard in the middle of information technology... didn't seem to bad while out there
Ordinarily under 60 is a hard no for me, mud is too a hard no for me. Rain? Nope.
If at that place is inappreciably any air current, and so temps in the xl'due south are still a go for the group that I golf with.
With winds beneath xv mph, then the depression 50's are even so a get.
If temps are in the 60'due south, and then it's an automated go.
I just played a ii day upshot terminal weekend. 40 something degrees, 15-25 mph winds, steady drizzle.
Would non participate again.
This. 100%. I'll golf in the 30s with snowfall every bit long as in that location'south no wind.
Sunny and 38, I'm in.
Pelting and 45, I'k out.

This, if the Sunny and 38 day has no wind.
Air current is the most important gene.
30s with no wind is non bad
This is the beauty of being in Minnesota, female parent nature closes the courses for united states of america before information technology gets also common cold to play.
Parents lived effectually Nashville for a few years when I was in school. Visited one wintertime and dad and I played the Legends Club. Greyness clouded cold day. Retrieve we started in the 40s and it dropped in to the 30s as the day went on. Miserable and couldn't fifty-fifty enjoy the course. Non doing that again.
Weather doesn't thing to me. I similar to play golf.
Old and cold is a bad combination.
Near 15 years ago I went out to Delaware Springs with a friend when information technology was in the mid 30'southward , no sun, and mist. At the turn, the staff told us we were the only ones on the course. Later we finished 10, the banana came up in his cart and said he'd give united states of america a free round if we'd quit now. Outta there with a gratis circular.
My Uncle says he won't play unless he can shoot the temperature.
I'll play in 50 and up if there's no rain.

Yeah, this is pretty much me.
I play in an annual tournament hither in the Valley that is held the last week of February. I've played too many common cold rounds in that tournament where I probably wouldn't take been playing otherwise.

so yous are only playing 9 holes?
Current of air.... That's the biggest factor. I have played in the 30s and was very comfy.
Last weekend my HS squad played in a tournament in San Angelo. Thursday afternoon was fine. 2 hour frost delay Friday AM , and was cloudy, some drizzle, and temps stayed loftier 30's to low 40's. Saturdays round was canceled, as moisture was forecast. This is common in late fall - early spring for HS tournaments. I live in Lubbock. If the class is open up- nosotros are outside.
2 layers is the limit. What ever the weather is - if I am fine in layers, I'll play

Damn you
Played concluding Friday afternoon, 44 and windy, we bailed later 4 holes.

Similar for me. ii knee surgeries a back surgery and a shoulder discourage me from playing when information technology's cold
I played Bryan Muni in either 1980 or '81 when it was 20 degrees. The h2o hazards were, non surprisingly, quite easy.
My boss and I played every Saturday. Regardless.
Also, non surprisingly, we were both quite drunk when we finished.
The last affair I want to do is hurt you lot. But, it's still on the list.
